In less than a month Microsoft will stop releasing updates to Windows XP.  Holdem Manager poker software will continue to work on Windows XP machines after April 8th, 2014.

What this means for you:

While Holdem Manager poker software will continue to run on Windows XP machines, we strongly urge you to upgrade to Windows 7 (Our pick) or Windows 8.  The sky is not falling if you love XP and want to keep it, but you will be open to more security risks because Microsoft will not release patches to fix any new security threats past April 8th, 2014.

Someone with malicious software could be holding onto this until after Windows XP support stops and release it after Microsoft stops supporting Windows XP.

Since we all love our poker bankrolls, it’s time to start thinking about upgrading your Windows install if you are still using XP.
